Getting started
Last updated : 18 August 2026
Five minutes from installing the app to a live offer on your product page. This walks through it once, in order.
1. Install the app
Install Redjam Bundles from the Shopify App Store. Shopify asks you to approve the permissions, then drops you straight into the app.
The dashboard opens on a checklist of three steps. It stays there, tracking what is done, until your first offer is live.
2. Create your first bundle
Click Create a bundle. You are offered three templates:
| Template | What it does | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| Quantity discount | Buy 2 save 10%, buy 3 save 15%, buy 5 save 25% | Almost everything. Start here. |
| 2nd item at -30% | First at full price, the next one discounted | Thin margins that cannot take a discount on the whole order |
| Buy one get one free | One free item for every item bought | Clearing stock |
Pick one — everything stays adjustable afterwards. The preview on the right shows exactly what your shopper will see, priced from your real product.
Choose your products
Click Select products and pick as many as you like. The same tiers apply to all of them, so a range of twenty similar items is one offer to maintain rather than twenty.
You can also add a collection. Every product in it inherits the offer, including the ones you add later. A product already claimed by another bundle is skipped, and the app tells you which.
Adjust the tiers
Each tier has four settings:
- From — how many items trigger it
- Discount type — percentage or fixed amount
- Applies to — every item, or only the extra one
- Text shown to the shopper — leave it blank and a sensible line is written for you
Tick Highlight this offer on the tier you want to sell most. It gets a “Popular” badge and is preselected on the product page.
Make each tier more generous than the one below it. At checkout the largest tier reached is the one applied — so “buy 3 save 20%” followed by “buy 5 save 10%” would make the bigger basket cost more. The editor warns you if that happens.
Click Save. The bundle is active immediately.
3. Add the widget to your theme
This is the step merchants forget, and nothing in the Shopify admin hints at it — without it the app looks broken while being perfectly configured.
- From the dashboard, click Open theme editor.
- In the top bar, switch the template to Product.
- In the left panel, click Add block in the product information section.
- Under Apps, choose Redjam Bundles — Offers.
- Drag it where you want it — usually just above the buy button.
- Click Save.
Optionally, do the same on your Cart template with the Redjam Bundles — Cart progress block. It tells shoppers what they still need to reach the next tier.
4. Check it on your storefront
Open a product covered by the bundle, on your live store. You should see:
- your tiers, with the highlighted one preselected
- a single-unit option at the normal price
- prices that change when you switch a size or colour
- one buy button — the widget's
Add a tier to the cart and go to checkout. The discount appears on the order summary with your own wording. That is the test that matters: it proves the reduction is real and not just displayed.
If something looks wrong
| Symptom | Usual cause |
|---|---|
| No widget at all | Block added to a draft theme, not the published one |
| Widget but no discount at checkout | Another automatic discount targets the same products |
| No buy button anywhere | Block hidden on a product with no bundle — see the FAQ |
| Wrong prices on variants | Refresh: the page was cached before the app was updated |
Your offer is live. The documentation covers every setting in detail, and the FAQ answers what comes up most.
